Makoto Yukimura wrote and drew the Japanese history manga series Vinland Saga. This series is published by Kodansha. It was first published in Weekly Shnen Magazine, a manga magazine for boys. It then moved to Monthly Afternoon, a manga magazine for young adult men. As of May 2022, 26 tankbon volumes had been made from its chapters. Kodansha USA has been given permission to publish the Vinland Saga in English.
The name “Vinland Saga” makes you think of Vinland, a place that is talked about in two Norse sagas. Vinland Saga, on the other hand, begins at the beginning of the 11th century, when the Danes ruled England. It is about the Danish invaders of England, who were called Vikings.

Story of the Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 2: Episode 2 of Vinland Saga’s second season is based on the manga’s Slave Arc, which is also called the Farm Arc or Ketil’s Farm Arc. In the year 1002, England and Denmark are at war with each other, and the English kill a group of Vikings in Northumbria. Thorfinn, a young Icelandic villager, is punished for attacking Askeladd, the man who killed his father, by being sold into slavery in Scandinavia.
Thorfinn meets a young slave named Einar, who is also a slave like him, even though he has lost both his reason for living and his will to live. Thorfinn has to face the sins he has done because of this meeting. He also starts to understand what his life is all about. But his new sense of purpose makes him want to run for king, and with Einar’s help, he tries to get out of his bad situation.
