The Japanese light novel series Tsurune is written by Kotoko Ayano, and Chinatsu Morimoto draws pictures for it. In 2016, the first novel won a Special Judge Award at the Kyoto Animation Award, and the studio published it in December of that year.
From October 2018 to January 2019, Kyoto Animation made an anime TV series based on the book. In August 2022, a new anime movie came out. In January 2023, the second season will start.
What is the Story of the Tsurune? Minato Narumiya starts his first year of high school at the nearby Kazemai High School. This is where the events of Tsurune begin. Tommy is an advisor to the Japanese Archery Club, and he wants Minato, Seiya Takehaya, and Ryohei Yamanouchi to join.
Minato is hesitant about going to the Club’s orientation, but Ryohei is able to convince him to go. It is at the orientation that he meets Kaito Onogi and Nanao Kisaragi.
Mr. Tommy points out Minato and says that he is a unique Japanese shooter. He then asks Minato to show everyone what he can do in front of the whole crowd. Minato’s arrow, on the other hand, can’t hit its target because he has a terrible illness…
Minato, Seiya, Ryohei, Nanao, and Kaito. They become friends because they both like Japanese archery. What will they be able to do as they struggle through the “bittersweet” years of their youth?
