Elden Ring Update 1.13: Patch Notes and Server Downtime

FromSoftware has released Elden Ring update 1.13, bringing significant changes and fixes across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The update introduces balance adjustments, PvP improvements, and numerous bug fixes.

Key Changes and Updates:

Equipment Adjustments:

  • Increased Poise Damage:
    • Normal Attacks: Light Greatswords, Backhand Blades, Hand-to-Hand Arts, Beast Claws
    • Dual Wield Attacks: Straight Swords, Thrusting Swords, Curved Swords, Katanas, Spears, Whips, Fists, Claws
    • Claws of Night Throwing Attacks
  • Decreased Backstep Invulnerability: Fine Crucible Feather Talisman, Talisman of All Crucibles

Skills Adjustments:

  • Savage Lion’s Claw: Easier second hit; reduced damage animation for the first attack against players.
  • Raging Beast: Reduced invulnerability window against other players.
  • Blind Spot: Reduced invulnerability window against other players.
  • Palm Blast: Decreased poise amount generated when charging.

Spell and Incantations Adjustments:

  • Miriam’s Vanishing: Reduced invulnerability window against other players.
  • Knight’s Lightning Spear: Increased attack power of the initial spear; decreased attack power and poise damage of subsequent spears.

General Balance Adjustments:

  • Light Greatsword Charge Attacks: Increased damage animation against enemies.
  • NPC Summons: Enhanced stats and status for Needle Knight Leda, Pureblood Knight Ansbach, Thiollier.
  • Summoned Spirits: Increased attack power and damage negation (excluding Mimic Tear) with Revered Spirit Ash Blessing at level 5 or higher, and upgrades to +8 or higher.

Bug Fixes:

  • Spectral Steed Whistle: Default selection changed to OK when spectral steed is dead.
  • NPC Summon Signs: Adjusted placement and interaction in certain boss fight areas.
  • Weapon and Skill Issues: Fixed various bugs affecting damage, physical attack attributes, and skill behavior.
  • Spells and Incantations: Addressed issues with FP consumption, casting behavior, and effect application.
  • Multiplayer and Map Issues: Resolved bugs affecting cooperative play, NPC icons, and map design.
  • General Fixes: Corrected problems with item icons, cutscenes, sound effects, and rune gains.

Server Downtime:

  • The update was deployed after a scheduled server downtime from 8 AM BST to 11 AM UK time.
