The number of new infected cases of coronavirus is getting higher in almost every country in the world. Those who thought that will be speared from the coronavirus are now living with it. It also came back in New Zealand who pronounced that they beat the virus two weeks ago.
So why is this happening now? Did’t we thought that the virus will disappear in summer? Hot weather will kill the virus right?
Everything that we thought now becomes a lie. There are big chances that the second wave it’s happening right now. Now, when everything started re-opening and the normal life is getting back to normal..
But there are also experts claiming that the second wave has not started yet, this is the first wave at its strongest!
“We never made it out of the first wave,” said Dr. David Weber, medical director of hospital epidemiology at the University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill.
This graph shows best that we are still at the first wave, because if this was the second wave then we were going to have lower or no numbers of cases and then again big rise.
“A second wave implies that the first wave has disappeared and reappeared,” said Loren Lipworth, an epidemiologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. “I don’t think that is what we’re seeing here in the U.S.”
While cases have significantly decreased in the hardest-hit states, New York and New Jersey, they’re increasing in states like Arkansas, Arizona and South Carolina.
