The great thing about “Rick and Morty” is how it can simultaneously be playful and meaningful, uplifting and scary, funny and thought-provoking. There is a lot riding on this project for Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. All the characters have their share of endearing idiosyncrasies, as is typical of animated comedies, but these go above and beyond the ordinary. absolutely beyond it
My knowledge is that this is one of the few animated comedies where the flaws of the main character have an emotional impact. Do not misunderstand me; some of my favorite shows include American Dad and Futurama. However, the problems on these series have a certain “sitcom” flavor that makes viewers think that everything will be resolved by the end of the episode.
Rick and Morty, on the other hand, are far more relatable. The players appear to always have to come up with answers on the spot, just like real people, as the world is continuously under attack. An easily relatable television program is the result. The fact that the show occasionally delves into important philosophical issues is one of the aspects of it that I like the most.
They can be less subtle at times, but they are always wonderful regardless of how opaque they are. It is commendable that a show of this kind is addressing important issues. In conclusion, the original animated series Rick and Morty deserves all the praise that has been given to it.
